Cowboys v. Colts, and Things of that Nature (Week 13 Game Preview)
Dec 4th
No comments
The Colts are in no position to lose a third straight game. At some point, Indianapolis cannot rely on losses by their AFC South opponents to stay in the mix for a division championship and playoff berth.
With players like Mike Hart, Justin Tryon, Brody Eldridge, and possibly Gary Brackett set to return, injuries will play a smaller role in a game against a weaker opponent than the San Diego Chargers, New England Patriots, or Philadelphia Eagles. Additionally, three out of the Colts last four games are division games. It is time for Indianapolis to find some consistency and it would be best for the beginning of that consistency to start at home against Dallas. More >

Why the Colts Future is not in Doubt

With Indianapolis struggling recently, a lot of fans are questioning the team’s future. Many complain about recent drafts and believe the young talent will be incapable of replacing the perennial Pro Bowl and future Hall of Fame talent that is starting to age.
This negative perspective is premature. As long as Peyton Manning is healthy and playing at a very high level in the NFL, the Colts future is safe. With that in mind, it makes sense to focus on the players who represent the team’s future, consider their talent level, and where that talent can take the Colts moving forward. More >

The Following players have had a determination made concerning their availability for today’s game against the San Diego Chargers.
Joseph Addai: INACTIVE: Addai will be inactive after a number of weeks being out with nerve damage in his shoulder.
Gary Brackett: INACTIVE: Brackett will be out once again with Turf Toe, with Pat Angerer taking over at MLB.
Austin Collie: INACTIVE: Collie was ruled out earlier in the week after succumbing to concussion symptoms last week.
Brody Eldridge: INACTIVE: After not practicing all week, Eldridge will be inactive leaving Gijon Robinson as the primary blocking TE.
Mike Hart: ACTIVE: After missing practice on Friday, Hart will get some work, even if only on a limited basis.
Javarris James: ACTIVE: James will be active despite some concern earlier in the week.
Bob Sanders: INACTIVE: Sanders was ruled out early in the week, but has begun to return to meeting and practice and may return in the next couple weeks.
Clint Session: INACTIVE: Clint Session will be out once again with a dislocated elbow and fractured forearm. Conner and Hagler will fill in at WLB.
Jaimie Thomas: INACTIVE: Coaches Decision.
Justin Tryon: INACTIVE: Tryon will not return to the lineup this week after missing a few weeks with the first serious injury of his career.
Reggie Wayne: ACTIVE: Wayne will be active for this game, bolstering an increasingly thin receiving corps.
Notes
* Phillip Wheeler will be starting at SLB, with Angerer starting at MLB, and Conner starting. Hagler will rotate with Conner at WLB.
* Hart is likely to only be used sparingly, with Javarris James used in short yardage situations.
* On the enemies side of the ball, WR M. Floyd, and TE A. Gates will both be actives while SS S. Gregory and CB D. Stuckley, and WR P. Crayton will all be inactive.
Thursday Injury Report: Chargers v. Colts

Good news today, folks, as Mike Hart AND Javarris James have returned full, and Justin Tryon got a bit of work in today. Still, it appears the Colts will likely go without Brackett for a 3rd week. It’s unclear whether we will see Session; the assumption was that he would return after 2 weeks but not practice much in the meantime.

Wednesday Injury Report: Chargers v. Colts
Nov 24th
Today’s report is one of the cleanest reports we’ve seen in a long time, although there are still some very important names on it. My sense is that either the team is truly getting healthy, or the coaches know it’s time to start pushing to get crucial players out on the field in a critical time to maintain at least a 1st place tie with Jacksonville.
