Phil B. Wilson of IndyStar.com reports that Joseph Addai confirmed that his shoulder injury is not a break or tendon tear of any kind.  Addai indicates that the injury in nerve-related and suggests that the only question is when the nerve will “wake-up” and when he will regain strength in the shoulder.

“Nothing torn or anything,” Addai said. “It’s just the nerve. That’s the biggest thing, that and getting the strength back. It could come back any time between now and four or five weeks.”  that Addai has been dealing with this kind of shoulder issue for quite awhile now and that he will return soon.  In either case, it seems likely based on this information that Addai will return to the Colts at some point in the 2010 season — possibly much sooner than fans would have thought as he left the field in Washington.

UPDATE:  Tom James of CBS RapidReports suggests that the team is hopeful that Addai will be ready for the Week 8 home game against division rival Houston.

The Colts remain hopeful that RB Joseph Addai (shoulder) will be able to play against Houston on Nov. 1. “We don’t place any time limits on him and we’ll see when he comes back. He’s a pretty quick healer,” coach Jim Caldwell said.
